efficient and powerful over time. More businesses and government agencies than ever are taking advantage of this advanced and quickly evolving cleaning technology and they are reaping the benefits.

Industrial ultrasonic cleaners are machines that use high frequency sound waves to efficiently and effectively remove contaminants from solid surfaces including ceramics, glass, metals, plastics and rubber. Some of the benefits are minimal power consumption and removal of various contaminates without harsh scrubbing.

Ultrasonic cleaners remove trace amounts of contaminants even if they are hiding in crevices or tightly embedded onto solid surfaces. For this reason, parts typically do not need to be disassembled before cleaning, saving time and hassle. Removable contaminants include dirt, rust, oil, soot, mold, wax, lime scale, algae, fungus, bacteria, carbon deposits, polishing compounds, pigments, fingerprints, biological soil and grease.

How does ultrasonic cleaner technology work?

During operation a gentle solvent and water are mixed into the chamber; heavily concentrated chemicals would cause the solution to become too abrasive. Parts are submerged in the special blend of cleaning solvents that provide just the right amount of friction to be gentle yet effective. Industrial ultrasonic cleaners work quickly to completely remove contamination. It is the transducer that does most of the work by transforming electrical energy into ultrasonic energy. High frequency pressure (sound) waves agitate the liquid solution in a process called cavitation during which cavitation bubbles are formed. When those cavities (or voids) collapse, they create shock waves as powerful as 20,000 Hz (20 kHz or 20,000 cycles per second) that adhere to and pull dirt away from the items submerged in the cleaning tank.

What are the benefits of Ultrasonic cleaners?

Ultrasonic cleaners can be tailored to fit specific cleaning needs

Industrial ultrasonic cleaners can be designed to clean a broad range of parts; no matter how big, small or delicate. The water-based solution used in the cleaners has been proven to perform a detailed yet gentle cleaning job on all different objects. The tanks can be manufactured in any size and are generally a rectangular shape. Ultrasonic cleaners use unibody fabrication and are constructed of stainless steel.

Ultrasonic cleaners create long-term cost efficiency

One of the major advantages of using industrial ultrasonic cleaners is their long-term cost efficiency. The ability to clean multiple items quickly and thoroughly is beneficial for many businesses ranging from medical facilities to restaurants and manufacturing plants. Ultrasonic cleaners are automated and efficient; only one staff member is required to load and unload the parts, the technology is simple to learn and multiple parts are cleaned in one step. In fact, you can clean up to 20 parts at a time using ultrasonic cleaning technology.

Businesses and organizations are investing in ultrasonic cleaners because of the benefits that they bring to their business for years to come.
